You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger
Isn’t it amazing how John Edward from Sci Fi’s Crossing Over and Miss Cleo, famous for her telemarketing approach to Psychic breakthroughs of the heart and soul, are so accurate with their “reads” of people? Do they have a supernatural talent? Are they really good “cold readers”?

Since the beginning of time we have heard of soothsayers and oracles guiding world leaders through troubling times. Some have been reduced to modern day traveling side shows. The common element has been either getting in touch with our past through talking to dead relatives or looking to our future for the results of our present actions. Some would say it has been reduced to cold read counseling. Others believe more is involved than the minds and thoughts of our mortal coil. We believe there is more involved but are not talking psychic energy. Let’s dig a little.

A Secret That Takes Effort to Find Out is a Secret Worth Knowing
This was no easy task. One would think that the government was hiding the secret to life itself. National Exposer was not able to find out what government agency was behind it, only that it was government backing all the way. What is the “it” being referred to? Psychics. Good ones. Too good to be cold readers and all claim they have no prior facts about their human subjects. The human subjects they work with claim to have had no prior communication with the psychics. What else can we believe? There is more to it than a cold read or slight of hand. Technology powers that third eye.  Micro processing and digital communication powers those Chakras.

“We were sitting at the John Edwards show Crossing Over when a steamy mist rose around him. We thought it was special effects, just some dry ice vapor being pumped in. Then I realized, his right ear was glowing an orange red. Kind of like shining a flash light in your mouth and seeing that orange red glow through your cheeks.”

Quoted above is Betty. She was at the John Edward show when it happened. National Exposer was smuggled a quick screen capture of the event she described. It clearly shows John Edward’s glowing right ear and neck and he was obviously hiding some pain. Not inner pain experienced from contacting the dead but physical pain. Confirmed by our interns experimenting with his pocket flash light, it did indeed look like the orange read glow through your cheeks when shining a flash light in your mouth.

Betty continues, “The show was stopped and he was whisked away back stage. The whole crowd was dismissed and as far as I know that show was never aired. We were issued letters from a lawyer explaining that the psychic energy had built up in the back lower lobe of John’s brain and that the energy was released causing burns. They assured us he was o.k, but like I said, we never saw the show come out.”

And that show will never air. According to our sources at Sci Fi, the footage was destroyed just recently by decree of an unidentified government agency. We recently heard that shortly after the Crossing Over incident the telemarketing offices of Miss Cleo were raided. Yes Miss Cleo, the world renowned telephone psychic. Apparently they demanded   to see Miss Cleo herself. The following was reported from a bottled water deliveryman who chose to remain nameless. “A couple of suits hauling some major computer equipment locked themselves in with Miss Cleo at her corner office. A little over 2 hours later they left in just as much of a hurry. Miss Cleo was rattled but very cheery and explained that a threat was made on her life so the FBI was checking in on her. I ain’t psychic or nothing, but I don’t think that was all that were to it.”

Information is Power
We don’t think “that was all that were to it” either. National Exposer did some digging but found nothing. One of our government informants finally delivered a very vague document that explains a concept for a digital video and audio identification system. Apparently an implant in or near the host’s ear can record digital sound at a very high resolution, and through remote networking, transfer sound clips to a main frame which then analyzes the sound bite. It matches up the sound bite with a world citizen, pulls all information that the government has on said person and delivers it back to the host of the implant. There were only vague statements of how the info was fed through the implant to the host. One section of the document mentioned that it sends signals directly to the brain so that the implant host will have instant recollection  of the information. We believe that Miss Cleo is wearing that device and concerned government officials wanted to check that the same wouldn’t happen to her.

Also available are video based devices which analyzes the face and body language of a subject. A skin pore size micro camera shoots from the ear or cheek area of the implant host and feeds the info back to a main frame in the same manner as the audio analyzer. The profile info is retrieved and sent back based on the findings of the government main frame of identities on file. John Edward must be wearing the video version. Due to the high processing power required to sample video and transmit it, we believe the system overheated during a busy Crossing Over show.

Why would such a sophisticated  technology be placed into the hands (or cheeks or ears) of money making psychics. One word . . . testing. This is a form of field testing which not only places the instant identification systems through it’s paces but also funds itself by helping the users make a lucrative salary. More than likely a large portion of the user’s earnings are filtered back to the government as payment for use of the device. It is an efficient way for a government program to fund itself; hard to track and doesn’t take from the tax payers pocket . . . directly. We ascertain that extreme secrecy may have a little to do with shame. The government may be criticized and jeered by the other world governments for funding psychics for technology testing.

Got to Love it When Technology and Show Biz Team up.
This isn’t all technology. There is also a strong amount of showmanship as well as cold reading that is occurring but it helps to have as much information as possible and this system provides it with little delay.  It seems to work rather well for these two particular psychics and who knows how many more will be up and coming. It is easy to be a psychic when you know the family’s entire background in an instant. Most likely the database software also pulls all relative records. This allows for folks like John Edward to talk about past loved ones and recall details. Cleo can easily predict the future by knowing the persons past in police records or what school they attended. I’m sure the government has more info on file than First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Address and Social Security number.

It is not a serious issue to beta test in this manner which entertains or councils but what will the government do next? Does it worry you? Why should you be worried? What do you have to hide? What you have to hide is another story for another day. The National Exposer staff must admit one thing - this technology would come in handy. We might have to start a psychic hotline ourselves and try to qualify for government backing. As we said before, you can’t have too much information.
